How do you feel about working on your own? Being your own boss need not be a lonely experience if you choose the right sort of home business to suit your personality type. Some people are happy to work at home on their own every day, other people need the stimulation of human company to work efficiently, and other people just feel plain lonely if left with their own company for too long.

What is your personality? Do you think solitude would be less than splendid or would you love to become an internet hermit, working alone in your own little virtual cave? Maybe you are a balanced individual who can work alone but who needs to interact with other people on a regular basis in order to be happy.

We all have different personality traits and anyone considering working at home to make their living should understand there is no "one size fits all" home based business. If you are trying to find the best work at home opportunity to enable you to become your own boss, you will undoubtedly see plenty of advertising for opportunities to work on the Internet. The advertising often tells you a program is so simple "anyone can do this". In many cases it is perfectly true than anyone of normal intelligence could make money by following the program, but whether they would be happy doing that particular type of work is a different matter.

I started thinking about this subject the other day when I realised I had not left my house for six days. I had been working at my own home business and hadn't even noticed the time passing. Working At Home In Your Pajamas - Cliche Or Symbol?

Many people like the idea of working at home wearing their pajamas (or pyjamas if you appreciate British spelling) but there are plenty of people who think working at home in your pajamas is just a silly advertising cliche that's getting a bit worn out. I have some sympathy for the latter view but I happen to think that working at home in your pajamas is symbolic of the freedom you can gain when you start your own home based business.

If you have never had your own business, you won't know how good it feels to be able to work at home doing what you want to do when you want to do it. There's no commute, no rules and regulations, no boss breathing down your neck and no dress code - hence the pajama reference. Being your own boss is not always an easy life but freedom is priceless even if you don't want to wear your pajamas to work.
