Empowerism is still going strong

Hooray for Empowerism . My MVP order cycled yesterday for the second time! That means I have already recovered my initial investment and there is more to come. I am going to keep to my plan of making regular investments and bought another package last night.

After managing to get my December newsletter and Christmas under control, I somehow got swept away on a tide of turkey and tree trimming. Then I caught a vicious bug and have done no real work since. Hence, no blog since 15th December. Trying desperately to get back to normal but it is hard when the body is too ill to obey what the mind is telling it to do.

Glad I made the effort to check my mail yesterday evening: the email from Empowerism cheered me up and inspired me to make a further investment and sort out my mailbox.

Things continued to get better: over the Christmas holiday, I had collected new sign ups for various affiliate programmes. Nice to know the system carries on working even though I have collapsed.

Checked out my money doublers today. I am still bitter about the demise of My Magic Doubler. Now Matrix Twisted seems to have disappeared without so much as a farewell. My position with Double Bot is now 36282 but I can't muster any excitement about that gradual move. I am still on 1896 with Cycle It Fast. Can't remember the last time that one moved. Had a look at the members' forum; the last messages from admin are quite surly and completely unhelpful. I'll go back and re-read them any time I am tempted to join a new doubler programme.

I am starting to plan my January newsletter which I hope to publish around the 15th of the month but I am going to spend today writing an article which has been nudging at my brain for a while. Time to commit it to paper (or disc) and leave the brain free for future plans.

Wonder if I should make New Year's resolutions. Hm, I'll think about that too.

Red Hand Day

As part of my drive towards self sufficiency, I cooked the last of my home-grown beetroot today. The cooking was not a problem but the peeling has left me with bright red hands. It is lucky that I am fortunate enough to work from home, I wouldn't want to display these hands in public.

Not one of my best days today, my focus has been slightly off but I don't know why. At least I decided which links management company to go with and sorted out some linking partners for my website. Hope they reply soon, I want to see what my success rate will be - one in five has been mentioned so I hope I don't ge less than that. The only concentrated effort I managed was digging over a bit more of my vegetable patch. Not much help to the online business but good for the soul and the lungs. It was a beautiful bright, dry day and mild for December. Helped to clear the brain a little and now I am back on track.

I was hoping to get the December issue of my monthly ezine out today but that didn't happen. I know what is going into it but I need time to do it the way I want it, I'm not going to send out a rush job. Hopefully, it will be ready tomorrow.

My Wednesday Happy Guy column has not arrived yet, hope it turns up tomorrow as I look forward to it. Received The Write Stuff which is my favourite newsletter (such hard work, getting a newsletter out every week!) and the following is an extract. It made me smile.

Honesty is always the best policy . . .

Empowerism MVP - I Cycled Today!

Yes! Today was the day, my money doubled at Empowerism. I am going to invest in a leads package every month in future.

I took yesterday off and went Christmas shopping, that is the sort of thing you can decide to do on the spur of the moment when you have your own home based business like mine here. I'm pretty well organised apart from getting cards sent out. I don't know why but I always put off the writing of the cards until the last minute.

Spent today submitting my new monthly ezine to ezine directories and trying to sort out my email. I also spent a bit of time polishing some new articles. I don't know which categories the robot one or the old age one would fit. I don't like doing it but I might have to tweak them a bit to slip them into a category.

Tomorrow I need to put together this month's issue of Networkers' Calendar and send it out. I have had an article sent to me by someone who read one of my articles and I am going to include that. I pretty much have the issue planned. I wonder how many people will read my newsletter, I think most people will have too much to do at this time of year. The December issue will be on the website until I publish January's in the middle of the month. Doesn't seem possible that the next time I publish it will be January and a New Year.

That is a summary of two days working from home and lovin' it.

You could be doing the same thing.
With the Plug-In Profit Site(tm), you could have a professional, fully-automated website in 24 hours or less! No tech skills required. You're ready in 3 easy steps. Get the details here: Hunting Venus.com

Money Doubler Update, Empowerism and No BS

I left it until today to check my money doubler positions. It used to be exciting and I would check them at least twice each day. Now I can barely be bothered to check once a week. Well, my double Bot position has changed to 36488 but Cycle It Fast is hasn't moved since last week, I am still position 1896. Matrix Twisted was nowhere to be found but I will give them the benefit of the doubt, it could just be a temporary server problem. I couldn't be bothered with Profit Sharing Hits as nothing changes and I don't know what is supposed to be going on.

Today I did check my position with Empowerism and it looks as if my money is going to double tomorrow, so they are living up to the 5 day cycle. That is bound to slow down, but I don't care as long as my money is safe and continuing to double. This is a quality programme.

There are only a few days left to sign up to nobszone while it is still in prelaunch. This is going to be a monster programme and I am very glad I secured a place at an early date.

Apart from checking out my doublers, I worked on a couple of articles today. I started (and almost finished) a new one about VCR's and old age. Then I did some work on my insomnia article, it was twice as many words as I wanted so I had to make some severe cuts. I think it is very good discipline to have to tailor articles to the length required by the free directories.

I will have to find some more article directories to add to my Ezine Announcer. Stone Evans advice is to submit articles to at least 100 directories and I am not even up to 50 yet, still I am getting there slowly but surely.

No article today but I thought a poem would make a change. It was the thinking about VCR's and old age that brought this on, I remembered a poem by Thomas Hardy about an old man looking in the mirror, he is old on the outside but young within. He says it all in far fewer words and better than I could manage:

I Look Into My Glass

I look into my glass,
And view my wasting skin,
And say, "Would God it came to pass
My heart had shrunk as thin!"

For then, I, undistrest
By hearts grown cold to me,
Could lonely wait my endless rest
With equanimity.

But Time, to make me grieve,
Part steals, lets part abide;
And shakes this fragile frame at eve
With throbbings of noontide.

Suicide Article Day

Spent most of my working day submitting my weekly article for publication. Very late this week due to allowing myself to get sidetracked. Article submission day is usually Thursday. Must keep on track as it will get even harder the closer it gets to Christmas.

Had my doubts about submitting this article due to the unpopular subject matter but I think it is important that we all do what we can to prevent suicide particularly when it involves a young person. We need to face things like this in order to learn and be able to help.

It was difficult to decide on the appropriate places for submission as this is not one of my usual home business articles and I had to skip some sites. I could have tweaked the article and made it home business related but that would have destroyed its integrity. For this reason, I decided to publish it as is. I might not have much but I intend to retain my integrity.

My new article:

Prevent Suicide Now

A website called Prevent Suicide Now.Com recently came to my attention by chance. I almost sent it back into cyber obscurity with a mouse click as it seemed unlikely to be of any interest or use to me in my carefree home business programme.
My first thought was that a website dedicated to suicide must be macabre. However, a tour of the website revealed that a great deal of loving work had gone into its creation. The site’s purpose is to prevent suicide and raise public awareness of the subject. In America alone over 31,000 lives ended in 2002 as a result of suicide. That is one suicide every sixteen and a half minutes. Trends show the suicide rate to be increasing.
There is a touching remembrance section on the site. The first memorial on the “wall of angels” is to a little girl aged 13 who was driven to suicide by school bullies. I could hardly bear to look at the photographs of the other beautiful, bright children who became “angels” in their teenage years. In the year 2002 in America a total of 4,010 people below the age of 24 committed suicide. That equates to 11 young lives destroyed each day. Suicide is the third leading cause of death in the 15-24 age group.
Suicide is a subject which most of us would wish to avoid. We would rather not think about it, let alone discuss it. We are uncomfortable when dealing with people who have been bereaved through suicide and feel helpless when somebody we know is tormented by suicidal thoughts.
Our reluctance to contemplate the issue of suicide is understandable. It is painful and we don’t want to be reminded of our own mortality, but we would be better equipped to deal with the issue if we were brave enough to face suicide and become familiar with its features. The ability to recognise the enemy would give us a better chance of knowing when help should be sought.
Seeing the photographs of the young suicide victims reminded me of two young women I used to know but had not thought of for some time. I was friends with both these women but they never met each other. Their lives, however, strangely paralleled each other for a while when they reached the age of 25.
My friend Janet had been engaged for two years and was looking forward to a traditional white wedding. The wedding dress and cake had been made and the big day was only two weeks in the future when her fiancé abruptly broke off the engagement. She was quietly devastated. Janet was a warm person with a wonderful sense of humour but she was not a pretty girl – not ugly – just not a head turner and she was rather shy. Being jilted shattered her self-confidence and she suffered through several lonely years before finding another boyfriend. He treated her abysmally but she felt that it was better to put up with his behaviour than to face the loneliness of being single. By then Janet was approaching the dreaded 30th birthday and felt like everybody else in the world was married. I was relieved when she finally found the courage to end that relationship.
My other friend was Cathy. Like Janet, she was jilted only a couple of weeks before her wedding was due to take place; with impeccable timing her fiancé chose to dump her on the very day her wedding dress was delivered. Cathy was a charming, sweet girl but, unlike Janet, she was also extremely pretty and outgoing. Cathy had many friends and, with her good looks and bubbly character, was very attractive to men. She bounced back from the rejection and had a new suitor within a matter of months. I thought her new boyfriend was much nicer in every way than the former fiancé and that the jilting had been a blessing in disguise.
The last time I spoke to Janet she was blissfully happy. She had met and married a lovely man and was living by the coast with him and their two gorgeous children. Cathy never married; she hanged herself at the age of 26. We were all utterly shocked: we had not realised that Cathy was hiding deep depression behind her pretty smile.
Could I or any of Cathy’s friends have saved her if they had known the symptoms of depression? We will never know but 80% of people who seek treatment for depression are treated successfully. Could you help to save a life? Could you comfort someone who has been bereaved through suicide? Advice and details of resources are available free from: http://www.preventsuicidenow.com . If you have a website of your own, please offer a link exchange to this not-for-profit site and help to raise its profile. It will cost you nothing but a little of your time.

Friday and Christmas is coming

Wrote a new article today - about spam. Not original I know but it was on my mind, so now it is on paper, well on disc anyway.

Only worked for a few hours today, wrote the article, sorted out my email and checked in at the Internet Warriors forum. Oh, and I copied a few CD's onto my pc so I can play music without the CD drive whirring. I had to waste time doing housework and shopping whenI would much prefer to be working online. Still, housework has to be done.

Sent a Christmas card to my list.

Here it is

Having A Bad Blog Day

Two days really. Things seem to be conspiring to prevent me getting here to blog - no big things, you understand, just a herd of small nuisances. Not much of an excuse, I know, but it is all I have.

Yesterday I went shopping. I know that doesn't sound very exciting or particularly time consuming and, to tell the truth, it was not the former but it was most certainly the latter and by the time I staggered home I was to tired to think, let alone type.

Having the freedom to go shopping midweek is still a novelty to me. I have always worked full time (until March 2004) and shopping has been reserved for weekends, evenings. lunchtimes and the odd day's leave. Christmas used to be a nightmare which started at the end of November and went on until Christmas Eve. If it hadn't been done by Christmas Eve, it could stay not done. I was officially on holiday from then on and would not venture near a shop for at least ten days. I would become a Christmas hermit and love every minute of it.

There was tremendous pressure involved in shopping for food, Christmas gifts, more food, luxuries, yet more food, wrapping paper, mountains of food, tinsel etc. It would end up that in the final two weeks before Chnristmas, I would find myself shopping every lunch time when the shops were heaving with customers all in the same desperate position as me. It was an achievement if I managed to buy just one item.

As I am not employed now, I have all the time I could want to go shopping. Strangely, I hardly ever go shopping and when I do, it is all done without stress or anxiety. I spend no longer shopping, in fact, I spend less time. I believe this is because I am not under time constraints which cause pressure. Also I do not have to focus all my energy on ensuring that I enjoy those precious holidays around Christmas and New Year. I can be relaxed every day. I can enjoy every day.

I realise now how much work took over my whole life, not just the 9-5 weekdays. It was always at the back of my mind influencing the time I could spend on anything. If I started a project on a Saturday, I knew it had to be finished the next day or else it would have to be shelved for a week before I would have time to work on it again. If I was on vacation, the days were always counting down until the dreaded return to the office. Evenings were coloured by the thought that I would be back at work in a few hours' time.

After tasting the freedom of working from home, I could never go back to that lifestyle.

Today I went to my allotment and carried on digging over the vegetable beds ready for the winter frosts to get into the soil. I dug up my parsnips (my first attempt at growing them) and the last of the carrots as I am afraid the ground will freeze soon. No food ever tasted sweeter than home grown vegetables. I got cold and muddy and felt very happy. These are the simple pleasures of my life.

When I got home, I found my weekly Happy Guy column had arrived. I look forward to this every week. This is it and I hope you enjoy it.

Just Because The Phone Rings...
By David Leonhardt
Brrrrrringgg. The telephone rang.
It was as predictable as Niagara Falls. We had just sat down to a
piping
hot dinner, so of course the telephone would ring. My wife reminded me
that
just because the phone rings, doesn't mean we have to answer it, but...
"Hello," I answered.
"Good evening, sir. I am calling to let you know about a fantabulous
new
insurance program that will protect you, your family and everyone you
ever
meet from warts," The Voice declared. "Isn't this an exciting time to
be
spending on this planet?"
"Are you trying to sell something?" I asked suspiciously, knowing that
the
answer would be...
"Not at all, sir," The Voice assured me. "I am just calling to let you
know that you can now be protected against warts for much less than you
would think."
He greatly overestimated my fascination with the actuarial aspects of
living wartlessly. "And you are not trying to sell me anything?" I
asked
hopefully.
"Of course not," The Voice repeated. "I am calling to protect your
entire
family from warts forever."
"My grandmother is already protected against warts forever," I mused
out
loud.
Complete silence. "How did she do that?" The Voice asked with subdued
awe.
"She died," I replied. "She's been protected for forty years, now. We
suspect that she will remain protected forever."
"Uh. I see," The Voice replied. "You, too, can be protected against
warts..."
"You want me to die?" I asked.
"No..."
"Honey, this telemarketer is threatening me," I called out into the
kitchen.
"Well get back here, then," my wife responded. "Your dinner is getting
cold."
"Now look here," The Voice began.
"Now see what you've done," I scolded into the telephone. "You've
upset my
wife. You could at least have waited until after dinner to threaten
me."
My wife called out again. "Why do you have to answer the phone during
dinner? Just because it rings doesn't mean you have to answer it."
I shouted back. "It would be rude not to answer. The Voice took time
out
of his busy schedule to warn us about warts - the least we can do is
take
the time to thank him. Now," I said into the phone. "About those
threats."
"See here, I did not threaten you," The Voice tried to explain. " I am
simply trying to help you get rid of your warts."
"Do I have warts?" I asked in amazement. "Sa-ay, how would you know if
I
have warts?"
"I don't. I mean, you might. That is..."
"Have you gotten rid of the telemarketer yet?" my wife called to me.
"Not yet, honey. He's diagnosing my warts," I called back.
"No, you misunderstand," The Voice began.
"What warts?" my wife asked, as she came into the room.
"He says I have warts," I explained.
"I did not say you had warts," The Voice tried to interject.
"Well, tell him you don't have any," my wife said.
"OK. I will," I said to my wife. Then into the phone, "I think you
have a
mistake. I don't have warts. Where did you get my number from?"
"I have this list of names..." The Voice tried to reply.
"Could you please hang up?" My wife begged. "Just because the
telephone
rings does not mean we have to answer it."
"OK," I said.
"Now please get rid of the telemarketer so we can enjoy our nice,
chilling
dinner," she said with not a hint of sarcasm in her voice.
"My wife wants me to eat my dinner," I explained to The Voice. "Can I
please have your telephone number so that we can continue this most
educational discussion tomorrow morning?"
"I'm not going to give you my phone number," The Voice retorted.
"Don't be silly. How can I call you back if you don't give me your
number?" I asked.
"I don't want you to call me back. I just..." The Voice tried to
explain.
"Now hold on just a cotton-pickin' minute," I said. "You're the one
who
wanted to talk to me in the first place. I am doing you a favor by
taking
the time to speak with you on a subject of your choosing. The least
you
can do is let me call you at the time of my choosing, so that I can
enjoy a
nice hot meal with my wife. Sa-ay, are you one of those anti-family
crusaders, calling people during dinnertime just to keep families from
spending quality time together? I've heard about people like you..."
-------
A few minutes later, I returned to my dinner, which by now was as cold
as a
penguin with no feathers. "So you finally hung up on the
telemarketer?" my
wife asked. "Good for you."
"Not quite," I admitted.
"What?" my wife started. "Is he still on the phone?"
"I don't think so," I replied. "I think he hung up on me."

Instant Buzz Day

Had an invitation to join Instant Buzz yesterday. I gave up beause it seemed as if it was one of those things which would only work with MS Internet Explorer and I never use that. I don't quite know what happened but the half finished process resurrected itself today and I carried on out of curiosity.

Wow! This looks like a great system and I think it will really catch on quickly. I have a neat little box to display on my website and, for once, it went where I wanted when I pasted it in (I am so fed up with pasting in a couple of lines of code and finding they screw up the whole page).

It is invitation only to join until 17th December so I am rounding up a list of people I think might be interested in joining but my email is on a go-slow and it is taking ages.

I didn't get round to writing an article I planned to start this morning. It has just beenone of those days. This proposed article is about problems with email. I don't think I am in the right frame of mind to start writing it now so I'll just present today's new article.

The Real Key To Happiness, Peace of Mind, and Massive Internet Success
Copyright © 2004 Rick Miller
Do you know the secret that allowed 100% of the top Internet Marketers to become successful?

Amazingly though, even if you read all their books, attend their seminars, or even ask them in person, you'll probably never discover the one true secret of their success.

Why?

Because they probably don't even know themselves ...

They're too caught up in marketing techniques. They may be totally unaware of why almost everything they're involved in becomes a success.

Would you like to know their secret?

Listen closely:

All truly successful people live in alignment with their passions ... they're fulfilling their purpose in life. They're living their own dreams.

The famous theologian William Barclay once said, "There are two great days in a person's life--the day we are born and the day we discover why."

Most people, regardless of religion or lack of religion, instinctively feel that there's a higher purpose to life ... and that if they could determine their mission in life, they'd be much more happy and satisfied.

Once you start to follow your passions and mission in life, the Universe (God or Nature, depending on what you believe) seems to start helping you achieve your goals, often by presenting startling opportunities for you ...

In a recent interview with Janet Attwood, she revealed a remarkable tool that'll help you quickly determine your purpose in life--The Passion Test.

The simple test, a series of probing questions that you ask yourself, will quickly help you identify your top passions, what's really important in your life.

According to Attwood, "The number-one reason people don't get what they want is--is they don't know what they want."

Once you discover your passions and align your life with them, success comes quickly and automatically.

What's more startling, she found that every single highly successful person who's taken the test (Mark Victor Hansen, Jack Canfield, T. Harv Eker, Dan Poynter, to name a few) already are accomplishing their top passions.

Undoubtedly knowing your passions speeds up the path to success.

Most importantly, she also revealed ways to help you realign your life to help you follow those passions.

The one key ingredient in reaching any goal or accomplishment is that you must totally love and enjoy whatever you are wanting to appear in your life.

It has to be your dream, not someone else's.

Do you really want a million dollars or would you rather have someone to love and be loved back?

Do you want that mansion or would you rather travel and not be tied down to any geographical location?

Only you can decide ...

After taking the Passion Test, I was profoundly changed in the way I view my life.

For me, I discovered that my number one passion is gaining dynamic health, my number two passion is improving myself, and three is mastering the guitar.

I realize now that I've put those desires on the back burner while I worked totally on survival goals (you know, making money and dealing with life's obstacles).

With that in mind, it's clear to me that I've missed out on a lot of joys that accomplishments in those areas would have brought me.

So I have a lot of work ahead of me to bring my life back into alignment with my most important passions ...

Maybe it's time I do something with the domain name that I've owned for several years (and done nothing with) that's focused on health and self-improvement.

What about you? You owe it to yourself to discover your passions. It'll help you in all areas of your life and in your Internet business.

Monday - Website finished At Last

Finished off a few bits so my website is now open to the general public. Hope I will get an influx of vistors all eager to sign up.

I am amazed that over the last three days I have managed to write an article (this is my one about insomnia) which is twice the length I intended it to be and will have to be severely pruned for publication, revamp my website, write a guide to starting up a Plug In Profit Site
with nothing much in the way of capital or income to invest, plant some spring bulbs and generally keep clean and tidy (myself as well as the house).

So much for weekends being restful. There is no rest for the home based business owner. Still, I would not want it any other way. I'd rather work seven days a week for myself than five for somebody else.

I am glad that I managed to finish the training guide. I want people to realise that they can have a home based internet business without having to spend a fortune on it. The Plug In Profit Site is an incredible concept and can work for anybody, the problem is getting people to realise that it is as simple as following the online training instructions while you get the feel for what you are doing. In no time at all, you feel as if you had been doing this all your life. That is what it is like on the internet - life speed x 10. I did not make that up but I think it is very true. I can't remember who said it now.

Today, instead of a home business article, I am going to present the world with my guide to starting a home business whilst strapped for cash. Hope people will read it and realise I believe in this system. I declare this a no hype zone to accompany yesterday's No BS Zone.

Plug In Profit Site Guidance Notes

This guide is intended for those people who wish to start their own home based internet business but have a limited budget. These notes should be used alongside the ebook “30 Days To Success” by Stone Evans. I am also writing this guide for people with no previous internet experience so I must ask those more experienced readers to please forgive me if I seem to be stating the obvious at any time.

Before you start

I suggest you read these notes first, get your domain name registered (check the note below about domain names) and hosted by Host 4 Profit, sign up for free membership of the affiliate programmes and request your free PIPS website.

Do not pay to have upgraded membership of any programme, this can be addressed later.

Start a spreadsheet for all your user ID’s, passwords etc (believe me, you will be surprised at how many you will end up with once you get going). I suggest keeping the same password for all business uses apart from Pay Pal and Stormpay accounts. They should each have their own secret password which should be changed regularly for security reasons.

Your customised website will normally be ready within 24 hours but it could take a day or so longer in busy times. You will be anxious to get your website and start up your business so I suggest you use the 24 hours or so to familiarise yourself with the affiliate programmes and your auto responder.

I think all this is quite enough to take in for a start but, if you can take on more, start reading “30 Days To Success” as this will be your bible when you start promoting your business. Also read everything else about affiliate programmes and internet marketing that comes your way.

A Word About Domain Names

Most advice on this subject is that your domain name should reflect the nature of your business. Obviously this is sensible, if you are selling cat food, you would not be found in a search by many customers if you called your website Dogs R Us. However, certain words can cause problems when you mention them in emails and as emailing your list of prospects will be an important part of marketing, this is worth taking into consideration.

If you are selling books or insurance or pet food, it is fairly easy to think up a relevant domain name but it is harder when you are promoting home business opportunities. Words such as profit, money, offer, cash site, mega, rich (plus any number of others) can result in your emails being filtered out as spam. So “Huge Mega Profits R Us” might be a good name for a website but it can trip you up in other ways.

When considering the importance of matching the relevance of name to business I always think of Google!

About Plug In Profit Sites

The Plug In Profit Site (PIPSite) was invented by Stone Evans who started his own internet business when he was in debt and built it up so successfully that he became a millionaire at an early age. Sound familiar? Yes, the “zero to hero” story is often used to promote home based business opportunities but, in this case it is a true story and Stone Evans is still actively involved with PIPSite. When you start your PIPSite business you will receive free membership to the Internet Warriors Forum and you will see that Stone Evans is a forum moderator and active contributor.

If you have read about how Stone started and built up his business, you will know that to make big money quickly he “maxed out” his credit cards (he had no start up capital and was in debt). I have written this guide for people (like myself) who do not want to take on debts but are prepared to invest time and effort and a small amount of cash in order to have a successful home based business.

An integral feature of the PIPSite opportunity is that everything can be achieved with little or no capital outlay or ongoing expenditure. If you have a large budget to spend on this business you will most likely succeed a lot faster than the rest of us but that is the same in any business, not just internet marketing. The rich get richer faster, I’m afraid that’s the way of the world, but we’ll get there in good time!

It is worth mentioning that the Plug In Profit Site is yours to do with as you wish (a lot of people do not realise this at first). It is not just one of those affiliate web pages that are set up with your ID code and you can’t change anything. You can change anything you want about your PIPSite: you can change the colour, the logo, you can add more affiliate programmes, advertising banners, literally anything. It is a real website and you will be the webmaster. I was pretty pleased with myself when I became a webmistress (oh, the power).

Free Membership

All of the affiliate programmes built into the PIPSites are free to join, that is one of the beauties of the PIPSite concept. You will, however, be encouraged to pay to acquire upgraded membership status. The benefits of upgrading will be explained in each programme. With Traffic Swarm, for example, one of the benefits is extra advertising credits. With SFI and MDI the benefits are linked to the compensation plan.

There is no need to rush into upgrading with any programme. You will read that upgrading will secure you additional commission payments from sales by your downline (and other things along these lines). You will not lose by delaying any upgrade because, when you have just started out, you won’t have a downline to be earning you commission.

The only person who stands to lose if you do not upgrade immediately is your sponsor (me!) but I don’t want to make a few quick bucks out of you while you are struggling, I want you to grow your business easily and without having to worry all the time about spending too much. I want you to be happy and successful, that way we both stand to reap large rewards. I think this is definitely worth waiting for.

Additional Tools

When you start out, you will receive all sorts of offers which are very tempting. When I started with my PIPSite, I wanted to buy every tool, ebook and piece of software I saw and it was very hard to resist (between you and me, I did buy a few things which turned out not to be as good as I was expecting). If you see something which you think you simply must have, don’t buy it, bookmark the site and go back to it after a day or two. In the meantime, do a Google search to see if you can get the same thing or something similar free; you will be surprised at the free stuff available.

The bottom line is that with your PIPSite, you have everything you need to succeed and when you start out, you should concentrate on promoting your site. Anything else can be tackled later.

Ready to Start - Get Organised First

Decide upon a realistic budget and stick to it. Sometimes budgeting is as simple as putting off a leads purchase for a few days so that the money comes out of your following month’s advertising allowance.

Next I suggest you read my article about getting organised for your home based business. The article is about home based business in general but it is relevant to PIPSites and it has all the links to the various useful free things you will need. Sign up for all the things recommended in the article. In particular, don’t forget Roboform as I have a plan for you which will involve filling in a lot of forms.

Nearly Ready

First, a word about email accounts. I reckon you need two (apart from your own personal one) as a very minimum. Keep one account for all your affiliate sign ups and traffic exchange memberships etc and the other for ezine and FFA (sorry, this stands for free for all) list memberships. If you signed up for PIPS using your personal account, just forward copies of those emails to yourself at your new business email address and you will have all the details safely in one place. You will have some of the information on your spreadsheet but I would save the emails in folders as well as some of them will contain extra information.

You now have your domain name registered and hosting arranged. You have signed up for the PIPS affiliate programmes. You have set up your new free email accounts, Pay Pal, Roboform etc. Now we will take a big step onwards. You will prepare to start your advertising campaign.

Time to join Profit Rally. Now if all this is new to you, this is truly a big step and it will look very confusing. Don’t worry, remember that anything can be changed, none of this is carved in stone. This is where you will start to appreciate the benefits of having Roboform and separate email accounts.

Sign up for free membership to Profit Rally. They will email you instructions for logging into your account. Read through the instructions carefully before you start to follow them. There are a few programmes which are not free to join. You can leave those for the time being, you can always go back and sign up for them at a later date if you want to. Don’t forget we are doing this to suit a limited budget. Don’t do any surfing unless you have heard from Stone that your website is functioning, otherwise any hits you earn will be lost.

Next, sign up for free membership with Adland Pro You will get free advertising here. You will also get a free internet business training course. I have upgraded my membership with Adland to get the additional advertising. The price is very low, so I suggest you note this as a possible early upgrade for the future.

Then join Search Estate for more free advertising.

I suggest adding Adland and Search Estate to your Profit Rally rotator so you will be advertising them plus Profit Rally plus your PIPSite. With free membership you are allowed to advertise up to 5 urls, so you still have a spare one.

Go Earn Some Cash!

We arrive at the exciting day comes when Stone emails you to tell you your brand new customized website is ready for you. Follow the instructions, log in and check that your referral ID’s are all correct. Make sure you read over the instructions carefully.

One of Stone’s first recommendations is that you upgrade your Get Response membership. This is not essential but I think you should follow his advice. It looks much more professional if your emails do not carry other people’s advertising and you don’t want their ads taking attention away from your business.

Now check your budget figures. So far, you will have incurred the cost of hosting and the Get Response fee if you have upgraded. The next thing to sort out is a monthly budget for advertising. You will hear it said many times that there is no point having the best website in the world if nobody sees it. This is completely true, a good consistent advertising campaign is essential.

Stone recommends paying for some leads. This is a quick way to get some action going. I can recommend buying leads from List Opt. They have various different priced packages and I have found them to be a good company. Stone was recommending Lead Factory but they were rather expensive and the leads not very good. If Stone’s updated version of “30 Days” had come out by now (due any day), he might have replaced them with a different company.

With your purchased leads and regular daily surfing, you have an advertising campaign. Now you need to follow “30 Days To Success”, remembering to stick to your budget and use free resources wherever possible. Also you should make a point of visiting the PIPS Forum every day - this is a mine of relevant information and all the members will be willing to give you help and advice.

For Later

When you are ready to invest further cash, I can recommend Ezine Announcer as a very useful tool. In fact, I would go so far as to say it is invaluable for promoting your newsletter and submitting articles for publishing. It also has a whole year money back guarantee. I’d definitely make this my first purchase (actually, I did).

When you are ready to upgrade memberships, I suggest doing it in the following order: Profit Rally, Traffic Swarm, Adland Pro. Then I would consider joining Empowerism.

Next, you might want to add some more affiliate opportunities to your website. You can check out my recommendations here.

By now I think you will be ready to go solo in search of further opportunities.

Good Luck and remember, if you need any help, you can just email me anytime.

Sunday - A Day of Rest

Just spent the whole day redesigning my website. Still have more to add but I am happy with what I have done so far. The only break I took was to sign up for a couple more affiliate programmes and download a couple of ebooks which I have not even had time to read. Now to go and have a rest. Before I go, today's hot tip is for No BS Zone - it is going to be massive - check it out.
Enter the NoBSZone

Here is my choice of article for today - this is the sort of thinking that keeps us going when success looks as if it is too far away to ever be reached. Tired, unsuccessful but not yet willing to quit. I'll be back with a more positive attitude tomorrow.

Never Surrender Your Dream
Copyright © Charlie Page

Do you have a dream today?

Can you see yourself in one year, three years, ten years? Can you describe the house you will live in? The clothes you will wear? The routine you will follow every day?

Far from some pie-in-the-sky hype, dreams are the real currency of the Internet.

Many reading these words dream of quitting their job and working at home. Some dream of having a home of their own. Some don't dream any more.

No matter where you stand today please consider the following.

My friend, your dream is your map. Without it how will you know where you are going?

Recent events have driven home the fact that life is short indeed. Too short to spend it working at a job we don't love.

Listen to these words by Brian Tracy ...

All successful men and women are big dreamers. They imagine what their future could be, ideal in every respect, and then they work every day toward their distant vision, that goal or purpose. - Brian Tracy

If you were my brother or sister, this is what I would say to you.

You must have a dream to make a dream come true. And you must never surrender your dream.

If you are like most people you will spend more time working than doing any other activity. Yet, many today don't like their work.

So the question becomes this. Can you do what you love for a living? Can you find the joy that comes when you WANT to go to work?

To that question I answer YES ... you can. I can say that because it's happening to me.

I don't usually write something this personal, but please allow me to share with you the five steps I used to make my dream come true on the Internet. And let me encourage you to take these steps in your life today. Time is fleeting. Begin now.

1. Realize that the Internet really has changed things. Jobs exist today that didn't five years ago. The thing that got me started on the Internet, that helped me create my dream, was a book called 'Finding Your Perfect Work'.

That book helped me realize that I could create *any* situation I wanted on the Internet. The Net is still new territory. To a great degree, if you can dream it you can do it.

2. Know yourself. What do you REALLY want? Spend some time with yourself and 'wave the magic wand'. If you could do anything, if money wasn't a factor, what would you do? Keep asking until you find an answer.

3. Research your answers. You will be shocked to discover the career possibilities online. Pick your favorite search engine, start a bookmark folder just for this, and find everything you can about your passion.

4. Ask for help. Once you have zeroed in on what you want, find someone who excels at it and learn at their feet. Be prepared to get turned down a few times from people who are too busy or uncaring. But never quit. You *will* find the mentor you need if you try.

5. Be willing to start small. You may only be able to commit a few hours at night to your new field because you have to feed the family. That's OK. Time is your ally. And time will prove if your idea will work.

Careers like being a virtual assistant, a net researcher, or doing graphic art for e-Books exist today because of innovative thinkers who found their passion. Find your passion and you will create your opportunity.

Don't stop until you find (or create) that type of work that both makes you happy and pays the bills. Who knows, YOU might be the innovator who creates the next online industry.

Winston Churchill said 'The nose of the bulldog has been slanted backward so it can breathe without letting go.'

When it comes to our dreams we need to be like the bulldog. We must never surrender our dreams.

Happy Homebiz Hermit Day

Just spent all day with hardly a break revamping my website and it is still nowhere near finished but I will get lynched if I don't go down to dinner soon. I hope the end result will be worth it. Should be ready in a day or so (if I work hard) but I might take Sunday off.

I am turning into the Happy Hermit of the following article. This was the first article I read by the Happy Guy and now I look forward to his weekly column. I am making a collection of his articles on my website here

My Career As A Work-from-home Hermit The Happy Guy is a writer, a stay-at-home parent and an online-marketing geek. by David Leonhardt
"Work from home. Make big bucks in your pajamas." – typical work-from-home ad.
Quick. What do writers, stay-at-home parents and online marketing geeks have in common? I mean, besides insanity?
They are all hermits.
The typical writer locks himself up for years brooding in a dark room, surfacing only long enough to find out who this year's American Idol is. This solitary brooding is supposed to help him develop a keen sense of the human condition.
Stay-at-home parents are prisoners in their own castles, as each child has a different toilet schedule. And a different nap schedule. And a different tantrum schedule. By the time they are all buttoned up in their snowsuits and hopefully not needing the bathroom in the next fifteen minutes, the stores are all closed.
Online marketing geeks sit down to their computer screens in the morning. When they look up, they wonder how it got so dark. The next time they look up, they wonder how it got so light again.
What a sad bunch. What a sorry lot. Who would take on such careers?
I would. I'm a writer. I'm a Stay-at-home Dad. I'm an online marketing geek. I'm ... Super Hermit!
"Get dressed."
"Why? Don't you like my pajamas anymore?"
"You have to go out."
"What?! Why would I do something so radical?"
"It's Tuesday. You have a big outing."
"Tuesday? Tuesday? What's Tuesday?"
"Garbage day."
In the country, three minutes to the road and back with the bags, then again with the recycling, qualifies as a big outing for a professional hermit. In fact, that's more time than most couples spend each week being a couple.
If this sounds like just the kind of self-inflicted bliss you've been itching for, there are a few things you should know before making the big career switch.
A dedicated hermit often skips a shower. Sometimes, the hermit gets away with it. To help the hermit remember when shower day arrives, there is a simple four-part clinical
procedure:
Lift arm.
Insert nose.
If you faint, it's time to shower (when you regain consciousness).
If you don't faint, schedule a shower -- as early as next week, if you have an opening. Personally, I apply a simple rule of thumb. As long as I spend more time showering each week than I spend taking out the garbage, my wife probably won't divorce me. Unless I forget to take out the garbage...again.
Here are a few more tips for shower-challenged hermits everywhere: Wear cologne. Lots of it. Your partner will think you did it just for her. Or him. Or it. If you wear enough, the kids might even let you out.
Wear many layers of thick clothes. Warning, if you live in Edmonton or Moscow this might force you to open all the windows to keep from smelling even worse. If you live in Dallas or Delhi, it might force you to close all your windows to keep from smelling even worse.
Eat garlic for breakfast. If that doesn't work, eat garlic for lunch, too. And for dinner. And for dessert. Nobody will notice your shower schedule, and the kids will definitely let you out.
We professional hermits also lose touch with our friends.
"Hey David. How have you been? It's Al."
"Al? Al who?"
"It's Al. Your friend."
"I have a friend?"
If working in your pajamas appeals to you, perhaps to avoid being the next victim of the "What Not to Wear at Work" TV crew, a career as a professional hermit is your ideal gig. Pick up a pen and paper, get yourself a second-hand computer, or borrow some kids.
If you barricade yourself in your house long enough, you can enjoy your very own life of abnormal isolation and solitude. And everyone will know just what to buy you for Christmas – pajamas.

Beyond The Money Doubler Madness

A late start to my day's blogging. Well, I have to do shopping and household chores sometimes. Had to go out into the fog and it was cold!

I managed all that fine but things went downhill once I got on the internet. Checked my money doublers and discovered that My Magic Doubler has closed! I could hardly believe it. I still had faith in ECC and they let me down (more to the point, I still have money in their care).

My Double Bot share is number 36759 on the list of shares waiting to double. At Cycle It Fast, I am number 1896. At Matrix Twwisted I am number 3208. I don't even understand what is happening at Profit Sharing Hits. I really should have known better.

If only I had discovered http://www.empowerism.com/e/91316/join.cfm first, I would be much better off. I don't seem to be doing too badly with YIWSN http://tinyurl.com/6aquk - both these are slow to cycle but give value in return. The Empowerism course has been extremely good. Slow and steady seems to have an edge over the flashy fast doublers - they are all more or less at a standstill now! I am happy to wait for 2 or 3 months for my money to double with these programmes - at least it will happen and I won't lose it.

Magic Doubler Madness

Today is my wedding anniversary - 11years. Woke up early and keen to get started on publishing my article. My plan is to spend the whole day sending out the article and, if there is time left over, I will send out some announcements for my new monthly newsletter/ezine, "Networkers' Calendar". Also plan to sneak a little time to work on a couple of new articles which are tapping at the front of my brain, desperate to get out.

It has rained again. Lucky that it was a dry, sunny day 11 years ago. It was cold but the important thing was that it was not rainy. The last few weeks it has seemd as if the world is drowning. I am currently reading "The Taking" by Dean Koontz. This starts with a torrential downpour of very unusual rain. I am starting to feel a little paranoid every time I look out of the window and see more precipitation.

Slept like a tiny tot last night after spending the afternoon digging over my vegetable plot. Very hard work and very muddy. It was colder than I was expecting so I had to work very hard in order to get warm. Really appreciated the warmth when I can back into the house.

It was starting to get dark when I had a visit from a fox. He (or she, I always think of them as "he") was resplendent in his winter coat, looking very dark for one of his breed and with a startling white tip to his brush. As a Londoner (born and bred) I still find it exciting to meet foxes and deer in the wild. Must admit that the London/Hertfordshire border is not all that wild but it's as wild as I care to get.

This is today's article which I am about to start publishing (as soon as I have had breakfast, that is).

Money Doubler Madness

After being around in the background for a while, money doublers suddenly became a huge craze on the internet. Forum message boards sported hysterical testimonials like “I Cycled!” and “I Got Paid!”
I wonder if they call it a craze because it only crazy people fall for it. Well, I’m certainly not crazy, on the dull side of sensible I’d say if I was pressed on the subject. I am not given to trusting people and you won’t find me accepting a free lunch.

So why did I get involved? I put it down to an unattractive little green mean streak of greed. Once that little green fellah gave me a nudge, there was no stopping me; I went from weakness to weakness.
I thought that it would be safe to join one of the established programmes, so I joined the Easy Chair Club’s My Magic Doubler. I invested $100. Their server crashed and they closed to new members with bewildering suddenness. I wondered if I was their last ever member to sign up.

My natural mistrust of human beings became even deeper and I resolved not to make a similar mistake in future; I would not be tempted to join another money doubler.

Some days later, I received $120 back from Easy Chair Club. I had not doubled my money, but I was in profit. I began to like the human race a little better and to think maybe money doublers were not such a bad idea.
Double Bot caught my attention. People were getting paid out and, best of all, they had what they called a “spam” section on their forum where members could discuss money making opportunities (ie other doublers). I invested $50. After my success (I did not see it as a lucky escape) with My Magic Doubler, I was feeling confident.

At this time Matrix Twisted was about to launch. This was my chance to get in at the very start of a doubler and make some big money, so I funded my account with $50. The difference in time zone meant that I would have to buy shares in the middle of the night. Regrettably, I slept through the excitement of the launch. I also missed the trauma of the instant crash and the first howls of “Scam!” I began to feel less confident and more like a Jinx.

Cycle It Fast had already been re-launched and people were getting their money doubled within hours. Strangely, once I had taken the plunge and invested, things changed and I reckon it would have been better named Cycle It Extremely Slowly. Instead of cycling times being expressed in hours, they rose to days and then weeks. Cycle times are no longer mentioned. I think the wheels fell off the day I joined.

I decided Cycle It Fast would have to be a long term investment. I still had Double Bot for quick profit. I was surprised to note, when I visited the forum, one day that the popular “spam” section had been removed and posts along the lines of “10 days and I haven’t cycled” and “Where is my money?” were appearing. I started to feel a little uneasy. I was disappointed but not surprised when the Bot hit the rocks. How strange, it had been doing so well before I joined. I asked for a refund but I think admin were too busy baling out.

Anxious to recover my losses, I invested $50 with Profit Sharing Hits. Money doubling with advertising hits on top. What could go wrong? I was stunned when the members’ forum disappeared overnight and Admin announced that a re-launch was necessary. I again got that eerie feeling of being the last one in before the doors closed.

After several emails from me, a reply arrived from Double Bot. As admin had not got round to refunding my money before they re-launched, they were offering me a choice of paying them a 35% fee to process the refund or reinvesting in the Bot even though doubling had stopped.

That is the absolute end! Pass me that albatross and call me Jonah. It seems that any doubler that takes me on board will immediately sink. I might as well go and throw my money straight into the sea, at least I’ll get some fresh air at the same time. I have learned my lesson. I’ll concentrate on my Plug In Profit Site and will not waste any more time or money on these stupid doublers.

Wait up! I just got mail and there’s a money tripler about to launch. Now that’s different…

Insomnia and Is a Home Business Right For You?

Wednesday, half the week gone already. Time truly does fly when you are doing things you enjoy.

The only thing I am not enjoying at the moment is insomnia. Going through a bad patch at the moment. This afternoon, I am going to wrap up in warm clothes, put on my gardening boots and go out in the fresh air to do some digging and other manual work. It is cold but bright in London today, so it is a good day for tidying up the vegetable patch and digging it over before winter hits us and the ground freezes. Digging will be hard work in the heavy clay soil but a bit of exercise and fresh air followed by a relaxing evening should put me on the right road towards a god night's sleep.

I am planning to write an article about insomnia; amazing how much thinking you can do whilst lying awake waiting for sleep to come back.

For good luck, I am publishing here the very first article I read by Stone Evans. This article was one of the first steps I took towards having my own home based business.

Is a Home Business Right For You?
Copyright © Stone Evans, The Home Biz Guy
http://www.pluginprofitsite.com/main-4295

Every morning as people wake up and make the commute to work,
many dream of the day when they will finally work for
themselves. Every time the boss lets someone know that they must
give up their weekend plans for the good of the company, people
contemplate the benefits of being the owner of their own
business.
Are you one of these people?
If you are, it is important to ask yourself some very important
questions before you make the uncertain leap into
self-employment.
Many dream of the benefits of home business ownership, but few
take into account the sacrifices that must be made to bring the
dream to fruition. Please don't make this mistake yourself.
You must approach home business ownership with your eyes wide
open. Ask yourself the important questions, and more
importantly, answer your own questions openly and honestly.

AN IMPORTANT CONSIDERATION
Are you the type of person who relishes every chance to gather
around the water cooler for social interaction?
If so, then home business ownership may not be the right
decision for you.
Instead, if you feel that you can be quite content sitting alone
at your desk; speaking only to clients and really minding your
own home business, then you might have what it takes to succeed
as a home business entrepreneur.
If you feel at ease with your own company and don't need a dozen
coworkers milling around your desk, then you, too, could savor
the freedoms that will allow you and your family, to live the
lifestyle you know you want and deserve.

THE KEY TO HOME BUSINESS SUCCESS
Self-motivation is the key to success when you start a
home-based business. You need to possess the ability to push
yourself ahead. Your drive and determination will be reinforced
with every new sale.
The level of success that you will achieve greatly depends on
the time and effort you are willing to plow into your new home
business. Your organization, planning and marketing skills, will
all be put into practice when you embark on your liberating
journey from employee, to being your own boss. In fact, you will
be the wearer of many hats and gain a wealth of business
experience along the way, when you finally make that commitment
to work at home.

YOUR SUCCESS RESTS ENTIRELY UPON YOUR OWN SHOULDERS
You will now be the boss. Are you truly able to work
independently? Do you have the drive; the tenacity, to persevere
with your home based business? Will you be able to invest the
necessary time to nurture it, to watch it grow and see it
through, from germination to full, glorious bloom? When you're
the boss, you are responsible for the success of your home
business, from A to Z, from disappointments to victory.
When you work at home, it will empower you to achieve many
things you were unable to do when you were stuck working for
that tyrant boss. Remember him? He's the guy that wouldn't let
you take time off when your baby was sick...the same guy that
called you in to work on Thanksgiving Day.
A home business means that you can take good care of your family
and make money from home, simultaneously. You will have the best
of both worlds! Just think--no more dirty laundry piling up--you
can do it while you work. No more scurrying around at the last
minute searching for a babysitter either. And no more worrying
about getting fired; you'll be the boss.

IN CONCLUSION...
Stay positive and focused on your home based business, even if,
when sales aren't up to par, you get occasional negative remarks
or derogatory comments from people with stuffy, dead-end jobs.
Ignore their cutting words and bear in mind that success is the
best revenge! Keep your admirable, positive attitude at the
forefront and show them what you're made of!
