Today started badly when I woke up with a raging sore throat. Little did I know that things were about to get a whole lot worse.
Stormpay seems to have been having another attack of its God complex. First of all it issued a threat to the autosurf sites forcing them to use Stormpay as their only payment processor or, alternatively, losing their Stormpay account. Many of the site owners had no choice but to comply with Stormpay's demands. The one that has caused most of the stir with autosurfers is 12 Daily Pro. They were forced to capitulate but it did them no good. Stormpay immediately froze their account. They have also frozen the accounts of Alien Trust, Autosurf Biz and e Profit. Who is being punished here?
When the Stormpay site had disappeared for hours, the rumours flew thick and fast. It did make sense that the problems with the autosurf sites had been created as a smoke screen while the owners of Stormpay were moving money to offshore locations and making good their escape. I was mentally saying an emotional farewell to large amounts of money and thanking Stormpay for the experience. One thing that did not coincide with the rumours was all the new stuff that had been added to Stormpay - the auctions etc - why do all that if you are about to run? That was about the only bright thought I had. I'm glad to report that the Stormpay site can back up and I requested a cheque for the money I had in the account. Looks like I'll have to get used to EMO after all.
The state of play at the moment is that many autosurf sites have stopped accepting new members, Alien Trust have said they are going to close altogether for several days to sort out their server issues and the Stormpay problem, nobody feels at all confident that they will get paid in a timely manner.
I also tried to surf my Studio Traffic account. The big notice telling me my account is blocked has gone but when I try to surf I just get a message telling me to contact live support. When I try to send a message to live support, the window closes. I give up - I sacrificed two months earnings, what more do they want?
