My Struggle To Find The Right Home BusinessIf you read about how I started looking for my home business ideal you will know I was desperate to become my own boss but had no idea what I could do and no real ambition in any particular direction. If you can say: "I always wanted to be a ___" you are already on your way. If you know what you want to do, you can get straight on to the next step of deciding how to get started. I kept examining ideas and rejecting them and getting ever more depressed. There were tons of ideas but not one that seemed just right for me. If this is your situation, don't give up, your niche might be just around the next corner: mine was and I bumped straight into it by accident. From my list of home business ideas the idea of being a gravestone cleaner intrigued me. This is partly because I have always liked cemeteries. (Strange you might think, but I assure you it's absolutely true, I find them soothing rather than spooky). The gravestone cleaning service is a very good example of someone spotting a need and filling it. It also has all the elements of the best kind of home business: the start up capital is minimal (all you need is a bucket, some stone cleaner, cloths and a brush or two), success is achieved by working at the business and advertising your services, and there is no requirement for huge ongoing financial investment. As you can guess, I didn't follow that career path, I found out how to make money on the Internet and I love being able to work at home. The idea of working outside in the winter did not appeal to me so I carried on seeking inspiration. I must say though that, if the choices had been narrowed down to grave maintenance or ironing, I would be out there in my thermals with my bucket. I have a deep dislike of ironing, it seems such a waste of time. At that stage I had no idea where I would find a business opportunity which would be interesting and creative as well as financially rewarding. It took a couple of weeks of searching the Internet daily before I found my ideal opportunity entirely by accident. My years of experience working online have made me realise how lucky I was to stumble into the best home business for me without getting caught up in a scam or money-wasting get rich quick scheme. Becoming successful at making a living online has involved some hard work but it has all been worthwhile. I am deeply thankful to have Erich Winnecke as my mentor.
